Description

Devoted to pleasure, celebration and jousting, Hampton Court Palace was one of the most famous residences occupied by King Henry VIII and is today known for its beautiful gardens and renowned features such as The Maze, The Great Vine and more distinctly, the ten heraldic Royal Beasts which encircle the palace’s Moat Bridge.
Representing the matrimonial union of Henry VIII and his third wife Jane Seymour, each of the stone sculpted beasts support a shield upon which there is a coat of arms, or a heraldic badge commemorating the dynasty of the famous Tudor King, and his betrothed wife.

This unique coin is the first edition in the Royal Tudor Beasts series released by The Royal Mint and features a beautiful design of the majestic Seymour Panther created by the illustrator David Lawrence on the reverse of this stunning Unpackaged Brilliant Uncirculated £5 Coin. 

The Obverse features Jody Clark’s effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, illustrating its legal tender status.
