Following the popularity of Alice s Adventures In Wonderland, Lewis Carrol went on to imagine up an entirely new journey for Alice, this time we follow Alice Through The Looking Glass as she discovers a world where everything is reversed and not quite as it seems.

This is the second coin in the The Royal Mint s Treasury of Tales series and is also the second time ever that the work of Lewis Carrol has been celebrated on a UK coin.

This Brilliant Uncirculated £5 Coin features an illustration of Alice first meeting Tweedledee and Tweedledum which is by Sir Jon Terriel, the original illustrator. The obverse features Jody Clark s effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, demonstrating its legal tender status.
